RECONCILIATION
AND CONSECRATION
AND CONSECRATION
God our loving Father, with contrite hearts and tearful
eyes, we bow before you as a nation, and implore Your Divine Mercy. Have mercy
on us, the Filipino people, as we sincerely bewail our sins and beg of You, for
the forgiveness of our sins.
Pardon your children, o loving
and merciful Father, and hear our pleas for compassion as we call upon You to
send us restoration and protection in these times of great calamities that have
befallen our country, the Philippines.
We come to You with great sorrow
for our iniquities and humbly ask that You accept our act of national
reparation for our nation’s shortcomings. Do not let Your anger pour out upon
us Your cup of wrath for we have deserved Thy just Judgment. Have mercy on us.
Like the prodigal son who
returns to his Father to humbly ask for pardon, we realize the error of our
sinful lives and regret our arrogant idolatrous ways and immediately return to You; as
we are unable to sustain ourselves without your Divine Presence.
Accept our lamentations as a
people, as we now make reparation for our sins and fully consecrate ourselves
to You, as trusting children ever dependent on the love and protection of a
compassionate Father.
We consecrate our nation to the
most Sacred Heart of Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ and to the Immaculate Heart
of the Blessed Mary, the Mother of all nations.
We humbly ask that You send
forth Your Holy Spirit to renew the face of the Philippines. Bless our nation,
heal our people and restore our land. Comfort the afflicted, heal our wounds, transform our hearts
and renew our spirits. Protect us from calamities, disasters and diseases.
Deliver us from all evil and shield us from our enemies.
As Your consecrated nation and
people, pour out upon us Eternal Blessings, which You have reserved for our
nation, as a loving Father showers love on His helpless children.
We thank You Heavenly Father for Your Eternal Love and enduring compassion. We are grateful that You are
continuously guiding us towards the right path of our salvation in our journey
of life here on earth. May you never tire in aiding, assisting and disciplining
us as a loving Father of the Filipino people.
This
we ask in the Most Holy Name of Your Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ and
with the Maternal Intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary. Amen.
